Who's organising this?

Julian Varricchio – www.instagram.com/julian.varricchiowww.julianv.com.au
I’m sure you already know this as I’ve likely directed you to this page, but in case you’ve been referred here.
I’ve been an active member of the local Mornington Peninsula photography and craft market scene for a few years now. I grew up and still reside in Dromana, so I’ve seen the changes just like you!
I offer my photography as a range of products and price points to keep it affordable and get as many of my pieces into the homes of those that have a connection.

Why are you doing this?

Ive seen the Mornington Peninsula evolve over the past 30 years into what it is today. Sleepy winter towns to vibrant summer destinations.
My photography has exposed me to so many perspectives and stories, whether it’s 60+ year locals to seasonal holiday makers. We all have a story and have seen the changes regardless of how little they are.

Will I really get paid?

Yes!! Of course!!

Is there a sign up fee?

No! You will pay nothing!

How many photos can I submit?

There are 3 categories of submissions: Historical comparisons, Lifestyle Images and 360 degree Aerial panoramas.

Historical Comparison Images
Capped at approx 150 submissions.
Eg. 1 present day photo per historical photo. And there are approx 150 historical shots to shoot

Lifestyle Images
No limit, submit as many galleries and images as you like. However payouts will only be offered for images making it to the final Coffee Table Book.

360 Degree Aerial Panoramas
Capped at the number that is offered on the map. These will supplement an online interactive section of the website so it is still TBA.

What do you mean by Historical Comparison Images?

Essentially we want to use a historical photo of a particular location and recreate that same image with the present day conditions.
The same angles, viewpoint, etc so we can see the change and progress that has occurred over the course of time.

How do the tiered payouts work?

You will be compensated for all historical comparison images you upload regardless of whether they make it to the final book. Payouts will be progressive following the tiered structure.

    You will receive:
1x Free final coffee table book,

10% off any additional books you wish to purchase.
  • Tier 3: Submitting between 50 and 99 photos.
    You will receive:

Will I receive credit for my work?

Absolutely. All photographers whose work is selected for the book will receive full credit, including name acknowledgment in the book and on our project website

Can I submit previously published or captured work?

Yes, as long as you hold the copyright to the work and have the right to grant us permission to use it in the book.

How and when are the final selections made?

The final selection will be made by my editorial team, considering both the quality of the images and how well they fit with the project themes. We aim for a diverse representation of the Mornington Peninsula.
As the timeline for final deliverable is still uncertain, we will advise when images have been selected at a later date.

What rights do I retain if my photo is selected?

Photographers retain copyright to their images. By submitting, you grant us the non-exclusive right to publish the images in the coffee table book and related promotional materials.

Can I sell my submitted photos elsewhere?

Yes of course! You retain full rights to your images and can sell them elsewhere. Submission to this project does not restrict your ability to use your photos as you wish.

What will the book look like?

Great question! This is still TBA and we are in discussions with production partners and printers to find the most luxurious and affordable products we can find.

What's the name of the book?

Also TBA! If you have any great names, please feel free to send them through for consideration.
